“We are pleased to welcome Jim to our Board of Directors, and Bhupen to the ZenSpace Advisory Board,” stated Mayank Agrawal, Founder and CEO of ZenSpace. “Jim and Bhupen bring breadth and depth of professional experience relating to our technology solution and the key markets we serve. We look forward to working with each of them and their contributions in advancing ZenSpace as the leader in the way businesspeople work in today’s fast-moving and mobile environment.”
Jim Young is the co-founder of Realcomm Conference Group, a worldwide research and event company at the intersection of technology, innovation and real estate operations. In this role he interacts regularly with some of the largest companies globally pertaining to the most advanced and progressive next generation real estate projects under development. Before founding Realcomm, Jim was Founder and CEO of REApplications, a real estate software startup he ran successfully before selling to LoopNet.
“The workforce has been unhinged from their desks and work as we know it will never be the same,” said new Board Member Jim Young. “ZenSpace is ahead-of-the-curve in recognizing and addressing this trend and opportunity. In a fast-moving world, the ZenSpace solution for providing cost-effective, flexible, private, comfortable, technology-enabled workplaces anywhere there is underutilized space is brilliant! I’m pleased to join the company’s Board of Directors and help them realize their vision.”
Bhupen Shah co-founded Sling Media, makers of the Emmy award winning Slingbox, and is now a prolific angel investor in technology companies. During his distinguished career he has held a variety of senior level engineering and engineering management positions, including stints at Philips Semiconductors and IBM-ROLM. In addition to Sling Media, Bhupen served as co-founder of two other technology startups, and has proven success in the creation and selling of consumer-facing hardware technology devices. He is an active angel investor and passionate about building teams and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
“I know from first-hand experience the many challenges involved in developing and bringing to market ground-breaking hardware-technology combinations,” stated Bhupen Shah. “I’ve been impressed by the ZenSpace team’s vision and execution in developing the first combination of a cloud-based platform with a hardware solution, the meeting pod, that solves needs both for the end user and for the public space venue. I look forward to advising the team as they begin to rollout their autonomous, reservable, quiet work spaces to public venues in the U.S. and beyond.”
